Asana Practice 7:30-9:00 am – Our daily practice of breathing, physical postures and relaxation begin in the yoga space each morning.  The level of the class will be adjusted to the abilities of the participants with the aim of the morning practice being to deepen  your yoga practice.

Workshop/Lecture: 11 am – 12 noon: We will explore living consciously; ways to find the feeling of yoga in your daily life through svadhyaya or “self study”.

Relaxation Free Time 12 noon – 4:00 pm – Finding relaxation in our every day lives is often challenging.  Four hours of “me time” is scheduled every day during the retreat. with a full day off in the middle of the retreat.  Enjoy the secluded beach just a 10-minute walk away, laze by the pool, read, socialize or head out for more adventure on the world famous Great Barrier Reef, sea kayaking or white water rafting.  This is your chance to harmonize with the natural environment and take time for your own exploration and rejuvenation.

Moving Inward 4:00 pm-6:00 pm – Our afternoon practice will be a combination of meditation, chanting and restorative yoga.  This week long retreat provides us all with an opportunity to move more deeply into our own awareness and growth.

Dinner 7:00 pm –Sanctuary Retreat provides a varied and fresh vegetarian menu with other non-vegetarian options.  A vegetarian evening meal is included in the price of the retreat.

Sunrise Meditation:
It is anticipated that we will offer a Sunrise meditation for those interested in a silent walk through the rainforest and sitting to greet the sun on at least one/two of the retreat mornings.

Testimonials from 2011 retreats………

Thank YOU so much for the retreat. I feel refreshed and full of energy!
~ Vanessa, Editor : Designer : Writer

Back into the real world last week had Maddy and I chasing our tails getting on top of the workload from a couple of weeks off.  This took us far away from the bliss and relaxation of the retreat!
Once again thanks for putting everything together we really loved our time at the retreat – it really was a time for us to chill out and focus.  A perfect way to end a honeymoon – albeit one that most of our friends thought was a little out there and crazy!  Nevertheless we couldn’t have thought of a better way to spend it.
Keep in touch with your latest developments as we could be easily tempted for another weekend down in Victoria.
~ Sam & Maddy, Sydney
May the spirit of the weekend burn bright for a long time What a euphoric weekend…...Helen, Yoga teacher, personal trainer
Thanks so much Gaye, for the beautiful retreats you create. You seem so at ease in what could be a stressful position and I wonder how you do it. Maybe it’s part of your practice. Whatever, it works really well with you at the helm. You create a beautiful space for us to come to and be in and share in. You’re an exceptionally beautiful person to be around. That’s why it works so well.
